Swimming and Diving season is a Spring sport that runs from the beginning of February thru end of May. Registration is held in January. Assignments are distributed on Arbiter, and pay is distributed through RefPay. Assignments are given in advance for the swim and dive season. Swim and Diving official decks are two to five person crews depending on the meet size. Due to the nature of local swimming pools, assignments may be altered.

Swimming and diving officials must attend at least 5 of the posted SNOA meetings. Instruction is provided at the meetings, but new SNOA officials are strongly encouraged to attend local USA swimming club meets prior to high school season. Registration with USA swimming will provide additional opportunities to become proficient and gain exposure and experience through officiating.
