High school soccer is a fall sport for both boys and girls. The season runs from mid-August through mid-November. A Varsity and JV game will be played at the same site each day, with the same referees assigned to work both games. 3 referees are assigned to Varsity and JV games, and 2 referees are assigned to Freshman games. SNOA also assigns referees for CCSD Middle School Soccer which is played during the spring. Instruction is provided at the regularly scheduled meetings. New referees are strongly encouraged to attend a United States Soccer Federation entry level referee training course. Registration with the USSF will provide additional opportunities to gain experience through officiating in youth leagues and tournaments.
