SNOA provides basketball officials for NIAA High School games, CCSD Middle School games, as well as local youth leagues and summer tournaments. High school games begin Thanksgiving weekend and conclude the end of February. CCSD Middle School Basketball is played as a winter sport. High school games are assigned using the crew concept format. New and returning basketball officials are placed on a crew prior to the training meetings starting, which begin in late October. All crew chiefs will be responsible for assigning and evaluating his/her crew members throughout the season. All high school tournament games are assigned by Tournament Assignor, Larry McKay. Tournament assignments are not assigned using the crew concept. All basketball officials must pass a test and are required to attend a set amount of meetings to be eligible for NIAA post-season assignments.
