Home / Sports / Track & FieldSNOA TRACK & FIELD
The Nevada high school Track & Field season runs from mid-March through mid-May, and features competition in a range of jumping, running, and throwing events. SNOA members officiate at dual-, tri-, and quad-team meets during the week and some larger invitationals on weekends. Normally, five officials make up a crew for a mid-week meet, with several hundred student-athletes competing in events that take approximately 3 hours. Large invitational meets, and postseason competitions, require 8-14 officials, and can span six hours or more. Becoming a track & field official does not require much knowledge of the sport, and all training is provided at meetings that begin in January and end the first week in May. If you are interested in becoming a track & field official, or would like more information, please contact any member of the track & field board. Contact information is listed below.
